The Lens material used in all DIXON Brand sports eyewear is made from high pressure injected Polycarbonate eliminating prismatic distortion. Polycarbonate offers excellent impact-resistance; very good optical clarity and is lightweight. Polycarbonate works well to protect eyes from fast-moving objects. Polycarbonate also has built-in ultraviolet protection and scratch-resistance valuable properties for outdoor sports. All DIXON lenses have an additional special hydrophobic coating to repel water, an anti-scratch coating to improve durability and an anti-fog coating for humid conditions or high-energy activities.
All sunglass by nature have tinted lenses to cut down on overall brightness and enhance terrain definition. But your choice of tint, affect your vision by influencing:
1) How much visible light reaches your eyes.
2) How well you see other colours.
3) How well you see contrasts.

Crystal clear lenses allow maximum light transmission without changing the value of colors. Whilst the lenses are clear in their appearance they still provide 100% UV protection. The clear choice for indoor sports like Squash, or outdoor in low light conditions. They make great Safety/Protective glasses, light transmission 89.30%.
